Although I might make it a 0/0 or even a 1/1 depending on what kind of player ultimately wants to play this card. (At this point, with these stats, I'm assuming Johnny and only Johnny would ever possibly care.)
The Coalition's theme is "play more colors." I don't think that theme would be complete without another color to play.
To be clear, this would be the one and only such card in the block.
So it's only ever playable with effects that literally generate "one mana of any color"?
Rather than making it a 1/1 for P (I refuse to use a pony emoticon for a mana symbol) couldn't you beef up both the cost and the stats so particularly oddball Spikes might want it?

Use whatever symbol you want.
I could beef it up. But it's still a question of "Who is this card for?" I'm not convinced that the spikeiest Spikes are ever going to care about a card like this, under the conditions that I'm proposing it come into existence. But I suppose if competitive spectrum decks hit 5 colors and slavering for more, then I suppose I could cost it to be Spike-friendly.
I actually think it's perfect the way it is. It's sole porpuse is to buff the color count cards. Maybe it should be a even odder as a the first and only vanilla enchantment.

Not even as a 6/6 for PPP? There are probably Spikes who would pilot Five Color Midrange.dec at FNMs. Not every Spike wants to play the top tier deck.
Besides, you could make it a home run appeal (T/J/S) card AND a mythic vanilla all in one stroke as an undercosted fatty that you have to play with all Birds of Paradise mana.

The thought did spring to mind.
But then again, the thought of doing this as a -1/-1 also sprung to mind (I edited it to be a 1/1 after I posted it.)
Long story short: I'd be happy to add extra weirdness to this (like making it a vanilla enchantment instead of a creature) but I don't want that weirdness to distract from the central idea, which is to provide a single, 6th-color permanent for spectrum decks.
It is currently a 1/1 artifact creature, which is an incredibly vulnerable thing to be. Does Johnny really want to cast and then protect something like that that badly just to up his spectrum value by one?
I think Vanilla Enchantment is best and make it (R) so it can be your set's One with Nothing also be sure to have wall of flavor text like with Bronze Sable.

As a lover of ultra-bads (in moderation) I like this idea very much.
If I re-tool my mana generators to provide "one mana of any color" more reliably, then I will probably drop it to rare. If I don't, then this would probably have to stay at mythic.
Why is it so weak? I know it is useful for things that care about how many colors you have but that doesn't justify how many hoops you need to jump through to get it. Compare to Mry Superion - this is close to restrictiveness.
I guess 1 Pink mana for a 4/3 would be about right
No no nononononononononono. Please no. There was nothing pink in the (first) Dominarian Coalition; and it should be possible to win the "fair way" (no color change effects) with the Victory because of the spirit of the thing.
I'll be very interested to see the number crunch for this set.
I understand the wedges and four-colors will be very small in quantity - I think the plan was two cards each for wedge combinations and one for the four-colors, so fifteen cards dedicated to that.
And this is a one-off.
So it'll be no different than a set with multicolor themes and a significant amount of artifacts (which is what snow colorless amounts to).
Can this please be a regular rare vanilla 1/1 for 1 with a pink color indicator?
It's bad enough that you have a cycle of four-color rares that require bizarre, specific conditions to be any good. How much more would it suck to open a literally uncastable card as your first-pack mythic while the guy to your left opens Kheva?
I'll be very interested to see the number crunch for this set.
There's a lot of stuff, it's true. And the cross-tabs are in pretty regular flux as I keep generating ideas (I apologize to the people trying to keep track of my progress with this set - there's just too much chaos right now.)
But I can give you the following ballpark estimates:
5 Ignite miniwalkers of TBD colors (uncommon) 5 Ignite miniwalkers of TBD colors (rare)
By rarity:
3 to 7 "snow-colored" cards (common) 3 to 7 "snow-colored" cards (uncommon) 3 to 7 "snow-colored" cards (rare) X "snow-colored" cards (mythic)
Of the remaining cards, about 1/2 will be Coalition-watermarked (so, pertaining to the "play more colors" theme), 1/3 will be Kaldarjar (so, pertaining to the "play snow" theme), and 1/6 will not be watermarked at all.
The numbers for Gold Cards and Blue Hurricanes will carry over into Icefall, but for the other pairs and triads. But everything else in Icefall will be heavily weighted towards the Kaldarjar (the goal is to have roughly equal number of Coalition and Kaldarjar cards in the block going into Set 3.

Thanks for the number crunch info. From what I can see, that looks like a fine layout (assuming about 250 cards). The four-color cards still seem a little forced, but that may just be that I don't see how they fit into the set from a flavor stand-point (from a 'because colors matter' standpoint is fine but it would be good to have them feel like they belong in the set, unlike the nephilim which felt like they were from outside of Ravnica).
Aside from that, the collector in me would want to have this card. It feels slightly grey-bordered, but in this set it could work. I would rather have this be a creature, and admittedly a 2/3 would be nice (4/3 seems a bit much for me, but I'm also a fan of Darksteel Relic).

Perhaps this is late in the game, but: Could pink be purple? It'd satisfy twenty years of rumorwank, and wouldn't step on the toes of the amazing card that is Water Gun Balloon Game.

A 1/1 for 1 with no abilities is pretty trash for a mythic rare, I don't care what color you say it is. This card should do something to kickstart the color identity of it.
A 1/1 for 1 with no abilities is pretty trash for a mythic rare, I don't care what color you say it is.
I agree 100%.
Here's the problem: if I make it good enough so that Spike cares about it, I might also undermine the things that make it exciting for Johnny. Johnny likes it as it is, but if I push it so that 6-color decks become a force in Constructed, Johnny might abandon it. And that would be a defeat for this design.
This card should do something to kickstart the color identity of it.
That's EXACTLY what I don't want to do. There's nothing to kickstart.
I have ideas for what a true 6th color might look like (who doesn't?) but those ideas are completely unrelated to Impossible Refraction, and to this set / block. I might go so far as to say that pink / ultraviolet is the seventh color, and I'm just introducing it to the world before the sixth. I don't want it to have an identity.

I could see reminder text such as: (~ is pink. Effects that can produce any color of mana can produce pink mana.)
I'd be more interested in the flavor of this than the mechanical side. Do you have any idea what art description/flavor text you would want to see on this card?

It doesn't really matter what the color is - we can call it puce or sienna or canary yellow, if that's easier.
I was planning to refer to it as ultraviolet at one point.
There's a little bit of Dickian flavor inspiration... but other than that, I'm not in any way trying to define what "pink" is, or what it does.
Water Gun Balloon Game suggests to me that is should be a 5/5 pink Bear...
If mana of any color is supported properly, then this could be uncommon like Fusion Elemental.
