Now that's a lovely big thing... Eep if you're playing an Unleash deck against that... UG should be able to make enough quick mana to see him running about fairly quickly.
Wow, I love hexproof on big creatures. This puts it out of the range of all targeting sorceries. There may be circumstances that you have to let it go to use it as a blocker, but most of the time, it's not going to die to removal except sweepers. I like this a lot.
EDIT: Also, interesting name choice:
Tromos = Greek for "quaking with fear"
Kratis = Greek for "to rule"
This guy sure ends board stalls in limited games that's for damn sure. The parenthesis past the blocking ability talk about EVERY single creature your opponent controls.
It looks like a fun card, I like the flavor it brings with the hexproof "hiding underwater" ability. Not sure how good it will be in any format other than limited but it looks fun.
Nope. Creatures that are unable to block don't count for these kinds of abilities.
Read it again. It says unless all creatures they control block. It doesn't say all creatures able to block do so. If a creature can't block, no creatures can block. I guess a judge should read it and chime in.

RIP Batman guy. I hope somebody picks up the slack now that you are gone. Sick children need their Batman.

Typically cards like this say things like "all creatures able to block."
Note that this one doesn't.
While that's pretty awesome, and I really like the idea, I'm very tentative to believe that they'd print a card that read and functioned that way. Pretty neat and crazy if true!

I think they moved that bit to the rules, rather than the card itself.

We might have to wait for the rules update on this one. I'd be willing to bet that they'll clarify it to mean only creatures that are able to block count.

This is true. It would specifically state "creatures able to block" if that was the intent. It clearly was not. Just tap an opponent's creature, and then an open swing with Tromokratis.
No, I think that's what makes it cool. You have to be all in to block it, like a unified effort. That makes it stop people from attacking as well! Gives Kiora's follower an another benefit.
1. If you don't cast this in a Standard game ... the Tromokratis wins.
2. I had to say it before anyone else did: Release the Kraken!

Even the rules in ( ) make it seem as if it can't be blocked. it says, "If any creature an opponent controls doesn't block this, it can't be blocked." So for whatever reason, if a creature can't block it, this guy can't be blocked.

That is interesting, so most often, it will be an unblockable 8/8... nice.
The 7 CMC puts it out of reach of constructed (or does it?) but I like the mass provoke ability as well as the situational hexproof.
Edit: Just realized it's legendary. Oh man is it a great EDH general. Mono-blue auras anyone?

And in EDH I have to imagine.
I honestly like this one.

You are about that? Usually that's worded as "all creatures able to block", this is "all creatures defending player controls".

His ability also directly hoses Vaporkin in limited if the opponent intends on blocking with everything.

MTGS egos at their finest.
Thoughts on proxies:
That is a huge advantage. At first I read it backwards, but that is pretty sick.
