Eh, not too impressed, but not too disappointed either. The two rares will mainly be casual cards, and I don't see any reason for the Wistful Thinking other than using it on an opponent.

Jedit is cool, the commander is meh, and the thinking is just stupid. The only real use I see to this is to have an opponent discard their hand when it's got only two cards in it.

Meh. Wistful Thinking should be an instant, and while new Jedit is better than his old card, why do we need two versions of an untransformed character? Doesn't this open the door to any legend getting revised ability now?

My thoughts -
Wishful Thinking - Blue Madness Enabler? Blue Reanimator enabler? Only good thing I can think of is to point it at your opponent to make them discard or psychic possession.
Suspend X guy - I would play this guy in a W/U control deck. I like his ability very much. While it isn't as overwhelming as Decree is, it is still very nice.
Jedit - Well, certainly diff than his legends card. I don't know if this is how his story played out or not. Anybody have a spoiler of the story handy to seeif this could match up with him? But I'll take consstant free 2/2 tokens thank you very much.

For people who don't wanna look at the pictures:

Wistful Thinking 2u
Sorcery
Target player draws two cards, then discards four cards.
"To probe the wonders of the multiverse, to gaze upon worlds unspoiled by blade or spell...it's enough to make one weep for the possibilities denied."

Benalish Commander 3w
Creature - Human Soldier Lord
~'s power and toughness are each equal to the number of Soldiers you control.
Suspend X - xww. X can't be 0.
Whenever a Time Counter is removed from ~ while it's removed from the game, put a 1/1 white soldier creature token into play.
*/*

Jedit Ojanen of Efrava 3ggg
Legendary Creature - Cat Warrior Lord
Forestwalk
Whenever ~ attacks or blocks, put a 2/2 green Cat Warrior creature token with Forestwalk into play.
The Cat Warriors recognised this Jedit's face, but not his loyalty to Efrava.
5/5

Thanks for posting this! These cards look fun to play with.

Oh, and I'm assuming that due to the flavour text, this Jedit is a Jedit from an alternate reality, which is why all the kitties are surprised at his support of Efrava. This pretty much confirms that we'll see alternate legends like Red Akroma and White Crovax.

Wishful Thinking: No, it shouldn't be an instant, because when an opponent has two or less cards in hand it would be an instant speed Mind Twist for three. Other than that use it's worthless.
Benalish Commander: There are better ways to get soldiers, and the suspend ability makes it so that they can be picked off one by one. Still good in a soldier deck.
Jedit Ojanen of Efrava: Now this is what he should've been like in the first place! Great in limited, may see casual Constructed play.

Agreed. The other two seem decent, the cat is at least a limited bomb and the soldier is for casual.

Exactly, this is going to be a strange set, for sure. I'm looking forward to seeing what some of the other colors get to do.

these cards are strange.... the blue one is really good discard. i like. Jedit seems to be a little lacking. maybe in 20 sets they'll re-do him again and he'll be good.

Hey, Wishful Thinking would be good with Megrim. How competative!

...

Just throwing that out there. It might also complement a more traditional blue disruption suite of counters and bounce, though I still would generally want Stupor over this.

To me wishful thinking looks like a black discard (smells like off-colour pie stuff again)... when your opponent has 2 or less cards in hand. It seems like that's the reason why they made it a sorcery rather than an instant

ps love the new Jedit, definitely going into my casual green deck

jedit is, without a doubt, great in limited...
i mean, he's a 5/5 for 6, pretty good in itself, but then he makes tokens when attacking or blocking...
i like the benalish commander, his different abilities tie in really well...
as for the wistful thinking, meh, i've better things to do with 3 mana, no?
