Default [PC] Scrye: Temporal Extortion, Crovax, Utopia Vow

I don't see these listed anywhere else, so here goes... These will be showing up in the new issue of Scrye. Looks like some confirmation on cards that were rumored! I'll try to get some scans up tonight.

Crovax, Ascendant Hero 4WW (rare)
Legendary creature-Human Lord
4/4
Other white creatures get +1/+1
Nonwhite creatures get -1/-1
Pay 2 life: Return (cardname) to it's owners hand
#3/165

Temporal Extortion BBBB (rare)
Sorcery
When you play (cardname), any player may pay half his or her life, rounded up. If a player does, counter Temporal Extortion.
Take an extra turn after this one.
#81/165

Utopia Vow 1G (common)
Enchantment- Aura
Enchant creature
Enchanted creature can't attack or block.
Enchanted creature has (T): add one mana of any color to your mana pool.
#142/165

First impressions: Crovax could be really good. obviously a limited bomb, but seems dragonish to me. The Removal dodging ability could push him over the top in constructed. I think we may see a solid mono black aggro deck come out of the time walk. bad moons, nether traitor and a bunch of bears, turn four I take another turn or lose half your life...a bad prospect either way.

EDIT: Ok. Here are the scans as I promised. Enjoy!

Those are pretty neat creatures. I like Crovax. I would rather it blink like Astral Slide instead of like Blinking Spirit.

Temporal Extortion is hard to cast, but could be good (bad against decks like MartyrTron). And the Vow could double as removal for green!

Hm... Crovax and the black time walk mesh well with what we've heard about them. The green pacifism makes a lot of sense and is pretty cool.

Thanks for the info.

Temporal Extortion sounds about right. Well see if this is true info from the Magazine itself I guess.

Be-you-tee-full

MBC really just needs a sweeper.

Gauntlet of Power
Mirari
Temporal Extortion
Consume Spirit
Green pacifism is awesome... a green SOLID removal spell. That's just weird and awesome all at the same time.

Them: I Dread Return my Akroma
You: I Utopia Vow it. Have some mana.

really nice cards, good in limited I think, not sure about constructed. I think that white weenie decks might be really good now with crovax. Temporal Extortion will be good in limited cos im sure people wouldnt want to lose half their life. Im guessing Utopia Vow is the replacement for Birds of Paradise since their supposed to be getting rid of it in 10th I think, it could be good but with a creature not being able to attack or block it will probably be used on a token generated by a thallid.

edit: Wow, im really slow at posting as there were no replies when I clicked quote.

Ravensect, great find. Just a small request:

Can we get the card numbers and Crovax's creature type, simply for the number crunching (Brother Hunter!) and the partial spoiler...

Also, if you were able to get scans for us... well, lets just say you'll have made one kiwi particularly happy today!

Ahem: Vax is hot.

Wow, replies came fast! Updated original post with collectors numbers and creature type. The Extortion was hard to read. Might possibly be #82/165. Sorry for the flubs. I was a bit excited. I was reading the cards for the first time while I was typing em in.

I'd also be surprised if Utopia Vow doesn't see some play in the Mono Green Aggro decks that are running around on MTGO

Raven, does Crovax not have flying? If so... strange. still, it's a great card.

Crovax is #3? So #2 would most likely not have a first word that starts with "A" in its card name, huh?

EDIT: God, Crovax just screams Sacred Mesa!

Temporal Extortion is quite good, I like it.
Green pacifism is descent.
Crovax is also quite good, although I would have preferred him to cost 5...
