Absolutely busted with Momentary Blink. This can shut down even mana abilities and screw signets!

no, the 1st 1 stops activated abilities, but not from the hand like cycling or channel, but this stops all shananigans

If this is real, U/W control with some Augustin and this in play could really lock the game fast and easy. Very good card to me. The cost could seem high for 3/3 flyer, but with such abilities, it seems just fair in fact. Plus the art is really Nielsen-like. So I guess YES it is real, and YES I absolutely want one !

They do a similar thing but for completely different zones. One stops in-play abilities, the other one voids out-of-play stuff like cycling.

That is a pretty amazing creature. At 5 mana, I am not sure how much play it will see, but it does give a lot of answers for dangerous cards. Definately a contender in block. Possibly type 2. Anything outside of that is probably too fast.

And it is pretty good in limited since it can shut off their bomb.

Argh... being a big fan of transmute, and having a deck based on it, I now hope my control-fan friend will not get it...

Interesting. More fairly costed then Meddling Mage and with a useful evasive body too. Plus it shuts down suspend/channel/cycling/whatever too.

I like.

TCGPlayer.com often gets preview cards (They got to preview Char for Ravnica and Phyrexian Etchings for Cold Snap). This card is real. The two second abilities while looking similar actually do separate things, and pithing needle was errataed before because WoTC itself actually thought they did the same thing at first. The first ability only stops activated abilities of cards that are actually in play (Think cursed scroll, sensei's divining top, isochron scepter). The second ability stops activated abilities of cards NOT in play (Think cycling/bringiing back Eternal Dragon, transmute or even channeling shinen of fear's chill (I mean that card was so broken now we have this!)).

That said, it's even a nice rare for limited as a 3/3 flyer for 5 is always welcome and you can name that bomb card your opponent schooled you with the game before (Perhaps one of those ginormous dragons?) or stop one of those pesky Maguses from ruining your day. As for constructed, it's probably too slow to help vs Dragonstorm but if you COULD get it out early they'd need to start packing bounce spells or they're sunk. And it could be nice in w/b control (8 wraths anyone? okay maybe just six or seven.) Other than that we'll have to see.

The problem is getting it through Remand. If you can do that, and keep it in play, then you should be good to go since you can shut down the namesake card of the deck.

Maybe a bit too slow and too easily killable. Meddling and Needle are very good also because they can hit the table fast. Anyway, this gargoyle looks like a well built card.

You can get it out 3rd turn if you're playing mad-fast W/G acceloration. Otherwise fourth turn, and umm . . . a bit slow against dragons.

wow that is a truly amazing card. It doesn't only stop effects while the card is in play, but it stops cycling too.....absolutely amazing.
