Not a fan of tattoos but the your artist did an AMAZING job on that tattoo. Besides that one the only one that impressed me was the Djinn. Looked comic book quality.
I probably won't get a tattoo for some while, but I've always been a die-hard white player. There's a very good chance of a huge Akroma on my back in the not-so-distant future.
Also- in general, darker art translates better into tattoos, right? If your skin is pale enough, does it matter after a certain point? I feel like Akroma would lose her impact if she was just line art.
White colors in tattoos are the weakest colors in terms of longevity. The richer the pigment the longer it is going to last, that's why so many tattoos are done in a "pen and Ink" style.
If your wanting to get an Akroma, then have it rendered greyscale. Shading is a *****, but the line work will not be that bad.
I suggest that if you don't have any tattoos to get something smaller 1st someplace else then get the back piece done. BTW your looking at 800.00 to get a good back piece done, at the very least. And BTW you get what you pay for. The longer the artist has been in the business the quicker they are going to be.
I'm strongly considering getting an Azorious signet on my left shoulder.
Does anyone have one? Or a themed Aorious tattoo?
(Of course, my good friend jokes that as soon as I get it we will return to Ravnica where the Azorious will be the enemy in a super, hateful block. Lol.)
I didn't play Magic when I first got this earlier in the year but now tattoo number 14 works like a bizarre alteration of Giant Octopus in a way, you know? Hah.
I got MANA BURN tattooed across my knuckles about 4 years ago, before they removed it from the rules. I love it; although most people don't get it, its great when people ask what I have on my knuckles and I discover secret Magic players, haha. Plus it makes me seem old school
I knew a dude who got a pretty well-done Black Lotus on his back. Not sure where he got it done but it looked sweet as hell.
As for me, I plan on starting small and getting a Gruul symbol somewhere. Probably my back or upper arm since I'm going into the Navy soon, which makes me want to get a nautical-themed Magic tattoo as well, but I'm at a loss as to what to get. Eventually I want to get Captain Sisay somewhere because she looks like my wife and she'll just think it's a swashbuckling version of herself

Man, out of ALL the things they had to take away, it had to be Mana Burn. It's so irritating to me that they did that. So many stupid combos are possible now with no danger to the person doing the combo. So annoying. >.<
But that's awesome that you did that.
As for the tattoos. I'm hesitant to get one based on MtG. I mean, I love a few cards, but I don't think I love them enough to get them tattooed on my body.
CORRECTION. A CHIBI THRAXIMUNDAR AND CHIBI DARK STEEL COLOSSUS TAT WOULD BE SO AMAZING.
Oh God. Now I'm tempted to get them.
The tattoo I have currently isn't based on the game, but rather a song. There IS a tattoo I want to get on my forearm based on Okami.

"Edison would roll in his grave to see the light that you gave."
A little over a month ago, my best friend Vinnie passed away. He was responsible for nearly everything that I am today, including getting me into Magic. His nickname was "Goblin." While the flavor text of Raging Goblin summed him up all too well ("He raged at the world, at his family, at his life. But mostly he just raged."), one of my friends got that art tattooed and while most of us are getting tattoos, it's definitely cooler if we all get different, yet still special, things. He always liked the art on Goblin Hero, so I decided to go with that. In addition to his name and dates, I got lyrics from the song "Farewell" by American Nightmare, who are one of my favorite bands, as well as being a band he introduced me to.

my idea was: on my right shoulder get a lotus and the mana symbols surrounding it as if you were to place a black lotus in the center of the mana symbols on the back of cards thats pretty much the idea.
Got Shriekmaw done a while back, and just had Birthing Pod added to the mix. Any suggestions for what I should add next? Trying to keep the dark/sinister theme going here
I have wanted a tattoo for about ten years now, and I think this year is finally the year. I'd like to get a half-sleeve of a MTG card art, simply because it's one of the only things I've been into for more than a decade.
How about a picture of that tat?

I'm not sure what card art to get, possibly one of a card/deck that I have had fun with over the years. Abyssal Specter was always a favorite in my teen years, the 5th ed. one may not translate so well to a tattoo though. Undermine is also an old favorite as well as Chilling Apparition. Or Carnophage/Sangrophage or Phyrexian Negator or Dauthi Mercenary
I mentioned I've been torn about this for a decade, right?
