Convoke and buyback. So pre and post Mirrodin mechanics. I like.

Convoke? So we have ravnica abilities

Nice card for limited, like vitughazi but common and instant. 10 mana EOT 2 tokens

Thanks for the information!

@Falkor: Yes i just realize that

@Ouizzeul
Actually, it's only 9 mana, since you can use the first token for convoke.

Question: Can the convoke ability also work for the buyback? So, you could essentially get free 1/1's with 5 creatures in play (one green)...

I think Convoke indeed works with Buyback, so after a few turns you'll get free 1/1 tokens

Quite possibly the most boring common a set called Future Sight could possibly show

Ooohh.. a 1/1 token maker with two old abilities on it.

FS better come up with something better than this - it is quickly descending in the ranks of "least inspired block ever", with PLC ranking only slightly above Homelands in the individual set category.

Yeah, I'm not so much feeling nostalgic for a set that's still legal in Standard. And, if this is what WotC means by "future", I will be disappointed.

That said, there are interesting applications of mixing Mirrodin, Kamigawa and Ravnica abilities with older abilities. Some good cards could come of it. It will be sad if that's the focus of the set, though.

The reminder text says "reduce its total cost", so it works on buyback. 5 or more creatures means a free spell, which will be cool.

Thanks for reporting this!

Well... Actually 9 mana EOT 2 tokens (Use the first token for Convoke!!)

Eventually, this would be: EOT, tap 5 tokens, add one token!

This spell is better with time... So, better in the future (sort of). That's in the spirit of FS!

Cute little card, but in no way related to "future". I'm kinda skeptic about their ability to actually convey the "future feel" in this set.

I'm pretty sure that the Buyback cost can be reduced by Convoke, since I think it can be reduced by other cost reduction effects.

This is an interesting card, but I doubt it has anything to do with "future" cards, it's just a nice mixing of mechanics that have never been mixed before.

I think the card is pretty cool. Most of the give-away commons are even more boring then this. So its a nice one for an early preview.

I think this pretty much confirms that they will mix mechanics at there leisure in FS.
