Default Future Sight Rumor Season Kicks Off!

In the past few days several new cards from Future Sight have been posted in our rumor mill from various locations! A new card face, an enchantment with morph, and a land with transmute is just the tip of the iceberg!

The first bit that was posted were cards and scans from the magazine Mana Rogue. The cards are not in English but we have English translations for everybody!

Summoner's Pact 0
Instant
Summoner's Pact is green.
Search your library for a green creature card, reveal it and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library.
At the beginning of your next upkeep, pay 2gg. If you don't, you lose the game.

Mist of Rage 1r
Sorcery
Buyback 2
Creatures you control get +1/+0 until end of turn.
Storm

Maelstrom Djinn 7u
Creature - Djinn
Flying
Morph 2u
When Maelstrom Djinn is turned face-up, put two time counters on it and it gains Vanishing.
5/6

Imperiosaur 2gg
Creature - Lizard
You may only spend mana from basic lands to play Imperiosaur.
5/5
"An ancient force of unbelievable power dominates the valley. I grieve for its inhabitants, but I rejoice for the earth."
--Olanti, druidess of Muraganda

I know many of you are probably wondering what the last scan means because it doesn't look like a Magic card. Well, in Future Sight there are some cards timeshifted from the future. All of those cards will use these frames. For more information, please read the Futrue Sight Rumor FAQ.

Next up, we have a batch of cards from a magazine named Lotus Noir.

Arc Razor 3rr
Sorcery
Arc Razor deals 2 damage to target creature or player. Remove Arc Razor from the game with 3 time counters on it.
Suspend 3 - 2r

Nacatl War Band 3ggg
Creature - Cat Warrior
Nacatl War Band must be blocked by exactly one creature, if able.
Whenever Nacatl War Band attacks, put X tokens into play, tapped and attacking, that are copies of Nacatl War Band, where X is equal to the numbers of creatures controlled by the defending player. Remove those tokens from the game at end of turn.
3/3

Lightstrand Field 1w
Enchantment
Creatures you control get +0/+1.
Morph 1w
After conquering the Bastion of Suns, the Otas seized its light.

Western Tolaria
Land
Western Tolaria comes into play tapped.
{T}: add {U} to your mana pool
Transmute 1uu (1uu, Discard this card: Search your library for a card with a converted mana cost of 0, reveal it, and put it into your hand. Then shuffle your library. Play only as a sorcery.)

Next, we have four cards from Inquest Gamer magazine. Luckily, these cards are in English.

Finally, we have the pre-release card. This one's a doozy!

More cards are being talked about and discovered all of the time, so keep an eye on the Rumor Mill and the partial spoiler in the days leading up to the pre-release.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed and I hope you enjoy talking about these cards!

Wow, that guy Venser was absolutly right in his claim about the Grandure mechanic. While he came off as arrogant, he did report this mechanic. So, I nominate him as a Rumormill Hero!

Argh, you broke my front page!

---------------------------------------------

I may be one of the few people to say this, but I really enjoy the futureshifted frames. I'm not one for tradition, I guess.

The abstract tag seems to be having trouble; I'm working on fixing it.

And yes, I also like the futureshifted frames.

I like the Futureshifted Frames. I think that could become the new standard frames. I'd like to see how they look in Blue, White and Red to be sure, but man, Black just looks HAWT!

I wonder if Korlash will be a more popular pre-release card than Oros was. I was picking up copies of Oros for a song at the PC pre-release; does that normally happen, or were people just hatin' on the three color dragon goodness?

I would guess so. Whether or not Korlash is good enough is up in the air, (but lets be honest here, he looks saucy enough with cards like Urborg to be good enough and he's also pretty cool) but Mono Black is always a fan favourite and the card is just plain cool.

I think he'll see play in MBC. Funeral Charm will make sure of that. Urborg, Tomb of Yawgmoth makes all lands Swamps and then I swampwalk you with this huge monster.. yea... He's gonna be go0o0od

Not to mention with running 4 in the deck, he has the potential to excel you faster than most other decks. He just makes so many cards in MBC good.

I am not sure how much I like the future shifted frames. I suppose it will just take some getting used to.

The prerelease card looks pretty good. Looks like they made some Rocket-Powered Turbo Slugs in this set.

That's my next goal. A playset of each of the Transmute lands, foily (assuming they're going to be a cycle).

Pretty sure that's the only Transmute land there, partner.

I think it's part of a super-cycle that we've been talking about recently, involving Urborg and Pendelhaven.
