Wow... these cards are interesting...

The riftwurm.. I like the way they changed kicker to work with vanishing.

Nice cards to pick at the prelease. Green and Red seems to be dominating colours this time.

Mainly limited fodder. Saltskitter is kind of like the faceless butcher, faceless devourer cards; Skizzik Surger is quite bad; and ravaging riftwurm is kind of a cross between pouncing wurm and waning wurm, neither very good.

Am i mistaken or does playing a second saltskitter create an endless loop of returning and leaving play?

If thats true it seems unlikeley to me that wizards creates a ard that will cause a instant draw so easiliy... Maybe it isnt exactly printed like that?

How is Saltskitter like Faceless Butcher? It seems more like Norin the Wary to me, only actually playable. It could be interesting in limited with all the suspend and flash creatures and token producers dropping creatures into play at different times.

Well, these seem real enough, if uninspirational.

Salt Skitter seems way better for naughty Confusion In The Ranks tricks than Norin ever was, as it doesn't die to Night Of Souls' Betrayal and can actually attack and block.

No, due to a quirk of the rules if there are two Saltskitters in play they'll return and remove each other one by one at the end of each turn until the end of the game.

Lets say you control a Saltskitter then play another one. Your Saltskitter #1 leaves. During your end step, Saltskitter #1 returns and causes Saltskitter #2 to leave. Saltskitter #2 does not immediately return, it returns at the end of the next turn*.

*See the 'At end of turn vs. Until end of turn' dossier for clarification, lol.

Saltskitter doesn't return until the end of turn, so the game won't be locked.

Yum, more filling of spoiler.
I fixed them up and added them to the spoiler.
The green wurm is kind of...eh.
The white one is interesting, and the Skizzik is too, but I don't see myself liking any of these cards particularly.

Thanks for reporting!

Heh. So basically with two Saltskitter's in play they both have a messed up version of phasing :P

The Surger could be useful, especially with haste. Possibly abuse it with Thick-skinned Goblin?

The wurm is meh. Decent in limited, won't be played in constructed.

Man there are so many cards printed that say use Thick-Skinned Goblin, in this set. Much like the other two sets.

The Sand Skimmer is awesome in limited. Basically a 3/4 guy with vigilance for 4 mana if the opponent doesnt have a creature.
