Very educational for the new crowd as they make their way into the deep, dark unknown of Magic lingo.

No mention of "To the dome" - dome=player/life total

Yeah, I knew I read these some where else a while ago, except on MTG.com they explained what Barn was. Very important for the new player to read.

Or how about some love for Bob? Dark confidant wasn't in there. Was FoW? Stroke?
I stroke you for a million.

This article was originally published back in August 2005, before Ravnica even came out. The card may have already been previewed, I can't remember if the invitational already happened, but nobody I knew had been calling it bob at the time.

This article is a few years out of date, but a lot of the lingo in it still holds, although it is missing a lot of newer inclusions.

Default Why not CA and VCA as well?

Ok it is nice to see an almost totally agreed upon dictionary of terms a magic player would use. But isnt it about time we get the same thing but for our serious minded magic players interested in Card Advantage / Virtual Card Advantage Theory?

It can make your mind dizzy from all the "I put this new term forward" or "hey this term needs to be used because I thought it up FIRST!" But funny thing is those terms already have a good definition and were probably talked about back in the days of "The Dojo" or elsewhere. Thus serious plagarism is taking place.

I think that an 'International Magical Sciences Program' recognized by the DCI is in order here, notice I was avoiding the use of Wizard of the Coast as a means to keep track of the various definitions and meanings to Card theory. This would help Card Theory develop into a respectable science and increase our understandings of Card Theory.

So I propose we create that here! We create a Card Theory Forum and a Card Theory Dictionary that will be moderated and cared for by MTGSalvation.com. The dictionary could have new submissions or revisions after their careful review and consideration.

Default Dude

FYI, I believe the original mox monkey was Uktabi Orangatan. The term carried over to Gorilla Shaman as people realized it was far better at monkeying with moxes.

Oh and you could also include terms like serve, savage and wreck. You might also want to include poker terms that have crept their way into Magic lingo such as 'outs' and 'all-in'.

Since this is post ravinca you can also had P.S. Demonfire. And explain 'nice deck' 'nice card', also MTGO terms like 'Alt U' stuff like that.

I believe something like this is a work in progress and can continually be added upon.
