I'm just wondering, what is the reasoning for putting 1 Tarox Bladewing in this deck instead of the second hunted dragon?

Also, I see that they are in the above list, but is Kher Keep and a single Empty the Warrens necessary? Seems kind of overkill. And what are the tormod's crypts doing in the board? Cant dragonstorm race dredge, especially with gigadrowse on your side? Also there is enough against dredge in the board already.

Has anyone been running Martyr of Ashes in your side boards? How has it been against the aggro matchup (specifically gruul)?

Bottled Cloister over Ignorant Bliss? Does anyone have testing with the Cloister, and is it better than Bliss? I remember when my friend played this back in the day he didnt have a chance to get to 4 mana, because they can Castigate on T2, and Remand does not put a land in play, so even if you do Remand the Castigate, you will get it played again turn 3, then what will you do? Granted, Closter is a permanent, but i think 4 mana is way too much for Dstorm in the discard match especially.

The biggest problem I found with the cloister is that if they kill it while your hand is removed, you just lost a crap load of card advantage.

There was this one regionals deck that ran a single Akroma, angel of wrath that was played off the calciform pools I also dislike the Tarox. Hunted dragon is good enough. Empty the warrens hasn't been that great for me. It just stalls aggro, one of our best matchups. 99% of the time against control you will get damnationed/wrathed. And combo will combo off before you deal lethal damage. Playing hellkites one by one has done wonders for me. I never really needed to play warrens.

Personally, I've done well running 1 Tarox in place of Hunted Dragon. You can actually race with it, which isn't such a good thing to do with Hunted. On another note, I've had great success running 1 Biorhythm in my SB for those random times I face any Martyr of Sands deck. Against control, I can't decide if I like Word of Seizing or Akroma, Angel of Fury more. They both have their uses, and I'm currently running 2 of each.

I like the Biorythm tech... but how do you cast it? Off the back of a lotus? Green storage land? Seems a bit of a waste of sideboard for one deck that, TBH, isn't that much of a threat ATM...

I know this is maybe the most powerfull but defenetly most sucsesuful deck from all but the deck never changes and becomes boreing for playing in 1 month at max.. is there any way for the deck to get a bit modified or something to make it more fun to play

i apologize if this is considered a spam

There's still a guy in my meta that plays it, so it's worth the one slot to me. When I go to larger events I usually take it out. I usually cast it off a lotus and every now and then get both gemstone mines in my deck. Since the clock isn't really an issue, I have little trouble finding it in time.

I dont care for the list posed in the first post at all.
I think it is a mistake to run fewer than 22 lands and kher keep is not a good choice in this deck. You can run tarox if you want to but I'm concerned about not having enough damage to win if you combo off sometimes. As for the sideboard, I dont care for the crypts. I also think that bliss is better than the cloister.

This is my deck.

Dragonstorm
4 Dragonstorm
4 Bogardian Hellkite
2 Hunted Dragon
4 Lotus Bloom
4 Seething Song
4 Rite of Flame
4 Remand
4 Gigadrowse

3 Telling Time
1 Grozoth
4 Steam Vents
4 Shivan Reef
3 Dreadship Reef
2 Calicform Pools
6 Island
3 Mountain
Sideboard
4 Ignorant Bliss
3 Repeal
3 Seal of Fire
3 Trickbind
2 Word of Seizing

Why do you not care for the Tormod's Crypt? I see no Leyline of the Void in your list, so how do you deal with all the reanimator jank?

Versus bridge you have both trickbind and seal of fire. Seal is very good because they have to play a guy with a looter effect which you can then promptly kill. I play seal because it only costs 1 but you could play martyr if you want to. Trickbind counters flame-kin zealot's ability (among others) acting as a fog. You also have remand and gigadrowse so you can stall them for a bit. The matchup is better than average for you in most cases.

I'm not really sure about classic GB dredge, nobody really plays it in my meta.

Its also important to note I dont see to many graveyard based decks because of all the hate right now so I think it better to devote sideboard slots to other matchups if possible.

IMHO crypt is at least worth some slot in SB. while i dont see Bridge as a competitive deck in the current format there are those who do and you have to be prepared for it. in the Tarox subject i think thats a fine choice as posably a 7th dragon. that is how i use it but thats just me.

subject of changing the deck to be fun: Personaly i think the deck is very fun. around here though some one has turned it into not only a dragon storm deck but also ignite the worrens in there as well. its a preaty fun idea i am awaiting results.

im sure im forgeting some stuff that i wanted to say but im sleepy and will coment more tomarow if i can remeber any of it.

PS: Sorry about the spelling errors im not the best speller in the world.

Will the omission of Grozoth affect the deck at all? It looks like a nice tech but considering that I'm having difficulty in getting one, I might have to scrap it from the decklist.

I have to mention that the sideboards can always be tweaked any which way you want it. That's where the differences lie in the decklists.

What is a good number these days? I see in sample decklists anywhere from 2 to 5 of them.
