Well-done.

However, I think you should classify decks.

Storm-based.

Card Advantage Control Based

Mana Denial Based

and such.

Oh, there's plenty of ways you can classify decks; I was just throwing out the big ones, at least in my mind. I also am reluctant to get too bogged down in those sorts of things, as it tends to take away from the discussion of a deck. The idea is just general purpose. Just because you play Stax, doesn't mean that you can't splash blue to draw three cards with Ancestral because the goal of your deck is lock down.

Nice overview and advice, I like the way it is done, I think Vintage is rather deep and rushing it all at once may not be good. So I like the way you ease into the subject. Looking forward to what you will write up next!

Sorry to be rude, but your advice on sideboarding isn't that wonderful, because it doesn't take what Mike Flores says into account. It would be nice if you mentioned that you shouldn't throw together a sideboard in actuallity, as you may end up with cards that don't mesh with the core strategy.

I would like to complement you, however, on the point you made in that you should give more credit to lists as written... people don't do that much, if at all.

Oh - and Goblins has no weakness it's definitely not a Crusade Sorcery, or a Plague Enchantment... nothing really stops it in Legacy.
