The House of the Lat-Nam Wizards sits near the city’s center. It borders the Grand Master’s Palace on the East side. It sits between the Houses of the Benalia Paladins and the Shimia Warlocks. The building is of simple elegance and made using stones cut into perfect geometric shapes. The building gives a cold and sterile feeling.
The House Masters of the Lat-Nam Wizards are Barrin and Rayne . Their knowledge of artifice and Magical arts is unquestioned by all those in the House. They have taken the place of Tawnos, who was killed in the The Night of Fire. They are strongly against the Phyrexians.
Joining the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards is simple: Ask.
Commission opportunities will be posted here. Commissions found here are for Lat-Nam Wizards only. Most Commissions will be for a Spell, though some may be for Gold.
Commissions
One Mage is needed for this commission. The artifact known as a Chrome Mox has been located on an island in the Sea of Whales. It is protected by a group of Epochrasites. We want to Chrome Mox to be brought back to our House for study. The reward for retrieving it is any Blue Creature Spell from the Current Standard.
A small team of wizards are needed for this acquisition task. The Lat-Nam Wizards have discovered an artifact which they would like to add to their library. It is a Jayemdae Tome blessed with an unusual aura of magic. We wish to retrieve this tome and return it to their academy, so we can study it.
The tome is contained within a watchtower on the outskirts of the Skirk Ridge. It will be guarded by ogres, giants, goblins, and maybe even spiders. There are two entrances to the tower, and recent scouts have confirmed that the place is more complex than it seems. The reward for this quest is one blue Creature spell from the current standard. This quest has a maximum of two participants, minimum of one, and requires members immediately.
Dyrent pauses for a moment on the streets, his long fingers drawing an oiled leather map forth from under his cloak, which he consults, his brow knit. He nods to himself, tucks the map away, and enters the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards.
He addresses himself to the porter, "I am Dyrent Treyor and I would speak with your master, Tawnos, if I may."
Ertai, Wizard Adept saunters over to the newcomer. He simply waves the porter away. then turns to greet the Mage.
"Welcome to the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards. Master Tawnos is away on House matters. I, Ertai, am the person that you need to speak to in my Master's stead."
Dyrent nods his head in a slight bow and says, "After due consideration, I have decided to join the House of Lat-Nam. I take it you are authorized to accept me?"
"Yes, I am," Ertai says in a matter-of-fact tone. He reaches into his satchel and pulls out a coin with the sign of the House of Lat-Nam on in and hands it to Dyrent.
"Here, you will need this as it is a sign of your belonging to this House. Do keep it safe. Now follow me to you room so that you can get settled in."
"Here is you room. You will find that there is plenty of room to catalog your spells, scrolls and the like. Oh yeah, and there is a bed too. Commissions will be up later tonight, look for them."
After saying this Ertai left Dyrent to unpacking his things.
Dyrent returned to the House after a long day exploring the city and found the commission posted. He located Ertai and said, "I would be pleased to remove the threat of this Enchantress from the House of Lat-Nam."
Gabranth arrives at the House and looks for someone at the door to speak with.

"I actually came to ask about joining the house. I'm new to the city and am looking for a way to find employment." Gabranth said.

"Well then. It looks like you have come to the right place. Joining this House will set you up nicely," Ertai says as he reaches into his satchel and pulls out a coin with the sign of the Lat-Nam Wizards engraved on it. He then hands it to Gabranth.

"Right thank you." Gabranth says before tucking the coin into a pocket and following Ertai.

Kant walks up to the door and carefully pulls the lit paper roll from out of his mouth and puts it out under his boot on the street. He enters and takes a quick glance around looking for someone to speak to.

A robed viashino steps into the hall. His cloak obviously new and of a local make. Upon entering Nannex takes a look behind him outside and then steps out of view of the entrance from outside. Stumbling over the hem of his robe he pulls the hood out of his eyes and throws it back, looking around the hall with a vacant and fascinated look. Spotting the three humans from across the room he hesitates for a moment and then moves towards them, stopping once to keep his tail from pushing up the back of his robe, though in keeping it down his gait becomes stiff and awkward but he manages to hobble up to them. He puts his fingers together and drums them against each other, making a soft clicking sound as he does so, then shifts his weight to the right. With a sudden movement he pulls open his bag and retrieves a set of papers, desperately beginning to riffle through them. "Papersss, papersss, ssso many papersss." Glances up at them quickly, Nannex's eyes shifting from Kant, to Ertai, then to Gabrinth. He opens his mouth as though to speak, then shuts it.
Kant pushes aside the sides of his tattered robe. "My name is Kant Segmore. I was wishing to find out about how to join this fine house..." He extends his left hand out to Ertai in greeting.

Ertai shrugged with his robes still up his sleeve. Instead, he gives Kant a nod, in a very matter-of-fact way. "The parameters in place for entry are quite simplistic. All you needed to do was inquire. Now that you have met this requirement, accept this symbol."
From out of Ertai's sleeve and a sleight of hand, a coin flew through the air towards Kant. "Keep it proudly. It is a sign of the Lat-Nam Wizards, and a beacon of intelligence. Here, follow me, your room awaits."
"Gabranth, come with us, that is unless you are only here on the business of signing your name on the parchment to your right."
Nannex's eyes bulge momentarily as it dawns on him he's about to be left behind. "W-w-wait... um... um... you are the perssson one should asssk about entering thisss houssse. In that cassse..." Nannex claps his hands together and gives a deep bow. "My name isss Nannex Kemmel and I alssso wish to join your houssse."
"Ah yes, another young one. I apologize, for I did not sense you there. Come with us, then, a room will be found for you too." He then turned his back, and there was the sound of a coin hitting the floor. It bounced up off of the floor and floated before Nannex.
"Come Nannex, welcome to the the only house of real intelligence, the Lat-Nam Wizards."
The trio then walked towards the dorms of the establishment.
In their wake, a different steward approached, and sealed the following parchment on the wall next to the previous parchment piece.

"Greetings. Welcome the House of the Lat-Nam Wizards. Master Tawnos is out at the moment. I, Ertai, will assist you in what ever it is that you need."

"Greetings Gabranth. You must be here for the commission, are you not? The paper is on the wall, go ahead and sign up if you wish."
He then turned to Kant. "And who might you be?"
