Default [LOR] Official Hydro... preview: Oblivion Ring

O.K... not so official, and not so much a preview either...

But it is brought to you by Hydro, on behalf of a most legendary informer, so that part's all good!

Brace yourselves my amigos...

Spoiler:

Oblivion Ring
2w
Enchantment
When Oblivion Ring comes into play, remove target non-land permanent from the game.
When Oblivion Ring leaves play, return the removed permanent to play under its owners control.
COMMON.
So, let the games begin...

And let us thank the rumor gods for their eternal blessings, for they are great, powerful and all things sexy...

First post!!!

My god, the first ever white card that removes a non-land permanent. Too bad I can't think of any card that would have great synergy with this card.

Great Work Hydro, thanks man!!!

Edit: Works with the PW, after using almost all of its counters you can play this to RFG then you can just destroy the Ring at will anythime, yey, too bad this card doesn't have flash, if it does then it is even better.

Holy F-words galore! White is the new, uh, I guess there isn't a color that can do that yet.
Wow. Common. Cool. ! Geez?

Wow that's uh, really really good. Like for real, really good.

When I first read it I was like "So what", and then, I read it again....

SWEEET. *drools* A common? Great.

edit: After reading the comments so far, I must say there are quite a few options and comparisons I wasn't aware of. But, to me, it's just a really nice white card. I like a lot the white "RFG temporarily" theme Kirblar mentioned. In addition, there's Patrician's Scorn that can deal with it (along with all the other enchantements). While it may not seem like a "big deal" to the majority, knowing that white creates a ruckuss and provides the solutions for it is one thing that makes me happy, and that's one big reason I like this card a lot.

Are you sure if the wording is correct? It is "draw this game" for 3 mana if there are no non-land permanents.

OMFGWTF?!

White enchantment version of an uber-Faceless Butcher at common?!

Okay. I can deal with that, actually.

So, I guess this deals with Planeswalkers like that *snaps fingers*

Like I'm sitting at my computer right now practically stunned at how good this card is in limited (and partially in constructed).

It's a definate first pick that deals with ANYTHING. Like literally anything. And unless Lorwyn has some sort of Daru Sanctifier type enchantment hate theme.... wow what a card.

Temporal Isolation EAT YOUR HEART OUT.

Your right, i think it miss "other than oblivion ring" on the first line. (maybe "another target non-land permanent" like on Faceless Devourer)

This card is really cool, and my EDH enchantress say thank you!

Oh, you're right. If that thing is the only legal target, you have to choose it. Hmm, that's curious...
btw, that's the card Maro was talking about, the one that deals with every nonland-permanent.
And I like it! That's at least limited playable. If your opp doesn't have enchantment destruction, it's a sorcery speed Vindicate that can`t hit lands. At common!

Vindicate was a sorcery sir But yes I see your point.

It is like Pacifism, if Pacifism wasn't rubbish. Here's your answer for Dread, limited players.

Hmmm.... for some fancy name, it sure feels funny how this actually acts more like rescue unit instead of destroyer....

I sure want to try this in a Vedalken Mastermind deck with CiP insanity, no less

Good. Just Good. Competitively priced - aggro or control with W will use this. At common? will fill side boards, if not MD if white - and splashable.

WOW! It's the vindicate of our days. Sure, it doesn't hurt lands, but there's no black in this, so it's fair as it is. At common is going to wreak up lot of decks in game 1, in limited. In contstructed.. well, the enchantment hate isn't that high, at least in my meta.
Great Find, bro! Keep working this way!

EDIT: Sure it's worded as "Remove another target nonland permanent from the game". Otherwise, It would be an Infinite loop on its own, and I don't think that wizard is stupid to let players draw matches so easily.
