We’ve seen some of the little fellows, and learnt that they love to attack in numbers, now how can we support them? With Kithkin magic, of course…
Surge of Thoughtweft ![]() Tribal Instant – Kithkin (c) Creatures you control get +1/+1 until end of turn. If you control a Kithkin, draw a card. This is a lovely little Limited card that I’m sure is a template for at least one cycle of Tribal cantrips. With a cost of just , it’s a great combat trick – and more, since it can be used against burn. It certainly makes Warrior’s Honor look a little clunky.Entangling Trap ![]() ![]() Enchantment (u) Whenever you clash, tap target creature an opponent controls. If you win, that creature doesn’t untap during its controller’s next untap step. Okay, this isn’t a Kithkin card, but it shows that clash is going to be a significant keyword in the set. It’s not exactly Astral Slide, but it could be irritating with lots of Springjack Knights. Militia’s Pride ![]() ![]() Tribal Enchatment – Kithkin (r) Whenever a nontoken creature you control attacks, you may pay . If you do, put a 1/1 white Kithkin Soldier creature token into play tapped and attacking. Now this is interesting – a sort of mini Nacatl War-Pride. It’s based on the number of attacking creatures, and limited by the amount of you have to spend, but you get to keep the tokens – if they live through the combat. I like it – doubling your attacking army’s size is full of Kithkin flavour.

Wow these are more like it. The other stuff you showed was clearly limited only, but now we're starting to see the power of the Kithkin coming through. That Entangling Trap could be really good if Clash continues to grow as it is.
As for the Pride, I think that could be really good as well, especially in limited. Great cards, keep it up. |

Militia’s Pride - This is sick. Well, maybe not Tarmogoyf sick, but still nasty in most W\X aggro decks. It allows you not to overextend against control, rebuild faster after WoG Damnation and race opposing aggro. Beautifully and maindeckable.

I always thought Warriors Honor is way too overcosted.
I still don't like clash as a mechanic. So players don't like coinflipping? We will hide it under some new mechanic, so players think they can influence the outcome and it isn't random, which it still is...

Entangling Trap seems awfully narrow, but it must trigger whenever you are involved in a clash, no matter who initiates it, which makes it a bit better.
I'm not convinced Militia's Pride needed the non-token limitation. Having to attack and then pay lots of is already cost enough, and it makes the card much easier to shut down.Edit: But it is better than I originally thought on second reading.

So, you can tap out to attack and still have some blockers? Great ^^
The others are not so great... yet. But the first one is still good cantrip... |

Honestly, I am absolutely loving Militia's Pride. IN WW, you can pretty much keep dropping more creatures, even if you don't draw into them. Also, if you run glorious anthem, you are getting a constant stream of Isamaru's, with haste, no less. Add in shadow creatures or spirit en-dal to give shadow, you can get a pretty nice sized army attacking every turn.
Not to mention, attack with 2 creatures, pop out 2 kithkin tokens, drop the Thoughtweft, and that's an extra 6 damage, with a card drawn, for WWW(on top of the original attacking creatures). Orange Mage, you Hydro and IM are absolutely wonderful this morning, thank you so much. |

That Kithkin Enchantment is really really strong.
Another awesome card for my Kithkin deck. Maybe they'll print a card that gives whenever a creature attacks

Now, these cards seem viable.
Surge of Thoughtweft will be a staple in limited and will often give you card advantage. Entangling Trap will also be good in limited and might be viable in Block Constructed if there are many viable Clash effects, too - breaking stalled games by tapping your opponent's biggest blockers. White seems to get a lot of good tap-effects in Lorwyn (Goldmeadow Harrier anyone?) , which might give White-Weeniesh-Decks a chance against fatties like Treefolk or giants. There are many worse rares than Militia's Pride, but your 1/1 tokens won't do THAT much unless you have a "all kithkin get +1/+1" or something similar on the board. Interesting card, however. |

Is this some sort of Kithkin magic?
Anyway, Militia's Pride seems like it might be good, and it's at least interesting. I guess time will tell. |

Militia's Pride is almost like an X damage spell - one mana for 1 damage. Wow. That, good hard to block attackers, Teeg, and a glorious anthem on legs (well, I'm hoping for one) could be a good deck. It allows one to press the offense without overextending. Cool.

Thanks Orange Mage,
Militia's Pride is a great token generator in any W aggro deck. Especially with Field Marshal since the token made is also a soldier |
