Hm... Colfenor's Plans is interesting. It's basically a draw 7 spell, but it carries some hefty drawbacks.

Plans is interesting. Very dangerous (to yourself, I mean) if you don't have a way to get rid of it. Very powerful either way. I find myself wanting to find a way to break it.

the black enchantment is interesting. its very dangerous if you don't have a way of getting rid of it. hopefully you'll just be able to win before that becomes an issue (since you basically just drew 7 cards for 4 mana) but there's a real risk of getting totally locked out. The one spell per turn clause is also kind of a bummer, it makes this card rather poor against blue control decks.

As it should. The question is, is it usable? The 1-spell-per-turn bit is annoying for sure.

Eh...4-mana, draw 7 but never draw again, and you can't do storm combo or rituals of any kind with it. Don't think it's going to be that productive.

I bet you're missing "face down" there...
Conlfenor's Plans is interesting. You get to skip seven draw steps ahead, but you give up all your draws after that. The real trick is getting rid of it at the right time to get your draw step back. A blue bounce spell would work wonderfully.

Are the cards removed from the game face-up or face-down? With the given wording, they'd be face-up (since it doesn't specify otherwise), but then the "look at" part doesn't make any sense. I'm guessing a "face-down" is missing.

Colfenor is a legendary Treefolk. Its plans remind me of Parallel Thoughts for some reason Oo
And I like Triclopean Sight ^^ More Merrow goodness! |

i really like how Colfenor's Plans looks. With the new black clash draw card and the zombie muse from tenth, i think we could see this being very efficient and powerful. Just run it and rule of law to shut your opponet down to one spell a trun and its all gravy

Colfenor’s Plans —
Enchantment When Colfenor’s Plans comes into play, remove the top seven cards of your library from the game. You may look at and play cards removed form the game with Colfenor’s Plans. Skip your draw step. You can’t play more than one spell each turn. I designed a very similar card for FCC It will likely never see play but it's a nice design. Possibly in black control if it get's a replacement for arena/confidant. |

Hmmm interesting. The merrow is most interesting. BUT then I traded a necro for... a white knight back in the day. Suicide Black was never my thing - can't play it. Can get beaten by it though
Nothing amazing in this lot.

Question about memory. Let's say you slide it out and back in with the new card Oblivion Ring. Does it remember the first 7 cards it removes? Or does that line "You may look at and play cards removed form the game with Colfenor’s Plans." allows it to remember?

I hear drawing 7 cards for 4 is some good.
But then I also hear that not drawing is some bad. And only playing one spell per turn is some badder (Rule of Law taught me that...d'oh!). If it didn't have those restrictions...or heck..maybe only one of those restrictions...it may be playable...or worse..broken. But having both of those makes it very........interesting. Cheers, Austin |
