Default [LOR] Neck Snap & Spring Cleaning (...and minor tidbits)

It's a bummer not being able to reply to threads, but luckily, I'm still able to create.

Choice!

So, for everyone still with us, I give you a couple of cute common cards from the set:

Spoiler:

Spring Cleaning
1g
Instant
Destroy target Enchantment.
Clash with an opponent. If you win, destroy all enchantments your opponents control
Common.

Neck Snap
3w
Instant
Destroy target attacking or blocking creature.
Common.

Nothing much to say here, they're both quite self explanitory, so please discuss and Enjoy.

Onto the tidbits:

- The Kithkin 'lord' is a 2/2 for ww...

- Hostility is the Hasty red Elemental Incarnation, and has a unique token generating ability, based around... get this: DAMAGE PREVENTION! WHAAAA!

- There's a great common Elf that can re-arrange the top two cards of your library every turn. Great for those Clash battles...

- And finally, there's cheap Elvish removal spell which reads "Destroy Target non-elf Creature". Nice.

I dearly hope some of you will be able to post soon, but for now please Enjoy.

Green Removal?! Wha??!!

Oh..and Mr. Hydro, sir...if you could...what's the text of that new Mana Drain? Please??!!

Oh..one other tidbit...if you want to be able to reply...go to your User Control Panel..under Edit Options..and change it from 2-bit to 3-bit vBulletin (it's a little radial button 3/4's of the way down the page...)

Cheers,
Austin

2/2 Kithkin lord for ? This sounds very promising! Hopefully it synergizes with the rest of the "so and so for every attacking creature" mechanics!

Ohh... I like Neck snap. It will be useful in limited.

Spring Cleaning... meh... Sideboard in limited. and unless enchantments are used alot in T2 or block, I dont really see it getting played much.

Is this a black or green card? *crosses fingers for green card*

I really don't like that clash mechanic... Rewarding you for playing big spells, often in aggro decks (see that doublestriker)... It also seems attached to some random cards, where even if you win, it won't be very useful - how often you want to destroy all enchantments your opponent controls??

Clash also seems too random for my liking. I guess it can be fun in limited, but may quickly become boring if you need to "clash" each and every turn.

The Neck Snap is also a bit boring, looks like a nerfed Chastice. It can also target blocking creatures which is rather nice, so I'm split on this one. Seems to cost :sym1: more than it should.

What I like is the news about the Kithkin Lord. With the 2/2 for and Gaddok "the anti-Wrath" tech, it seems Kithkins will be serious contenders in the upcoming Standard season.

Awesome Austin! thanks for the posting tip...

Now for you, as best wording as I can allow without actually seeing the card in front of me.....

*Name is secret*
2uu
Instant
Counter target spell, *wording gets tricky here* then if that spell is countered, clash with an opponent. If you win, at the beginning of your next precombat main phase, add X colorless mana to your mana pool, where X is the converted mana cost of that spell.
Uncommon

But you prolly knew all that already.

spring cleaning is meh, neck snap is a fun trick for limited but won't see play in constructed. but seeing these brings up a thought i had earlier: obviously this is a tribal set with all the fun that comes with that, but are there ANY non-tribal creatures in the set? if so, maybe the good mr. hydro will put in a good word to the rumor gods for me and bequieth one upon us...

I don't find red Damage Prevention all that suprising. What I find suprising is it's attached to the butt of something named Hostility.

Actually Maro stated in his article today that every single creature belongs to one of the tribes. Kind of disappointing, I love one-of random creatures.

And thanks to whoever posted the solution to replying... holding my tongue all day!

And yeah the non-elf removal spell is obviously black.

Interesting stuff. Is Spring Cleaning really the final name? I feel weird connecting a magic card (green one at that, it sounds more white-ish) to it heh.
