Today is international talk like a pirate day, so "ahoy there me hearties"
Arrrr, swab the deck ye scabby naves and all that good stuff! Time for a couple of spoilers to get those pirate juices flowing.... Arrrrr!
Spoiler:
Yes, 'into play with Deathrender attached to it' means for free... kinda like a psuedo reanimate or something along the lines of through the breach... except for free. Imagine, dropping fatt timmy guys like Hamletback Giant, or nigh-uncastables like Bogarden Hellkite... mix in creatures that can sac for an ability, and you've got yourself a remarkabe deck center-peice. I don't quite think this compares to Jitte or 'Clamp for stupid broken, but it does allow you to short cut and accelerate into some pretty big creatures, (let alone the +2/+2!)... so I see this being played, trialed or whatever in most creature/tribal decks in particular come block season. I know what you're all saying, isn't this what that guy said, who also told us abou the rare duress card? well yes, but I still have no evidence for that particular card... so for now that one remains in the realm of hopeful but doubtful.
Spoiler:
Now this could be rare... but it feels uncommon to me, despite being a sick card, I don't think this particular aura belongs int he rare slot. I will check on this however. Double-strike, no matter how you look at it, is awesome, and this is, by far, the single most effective way to give any creature that ability. I'll definitely play one in my now-dismantled Zur deck (With blessing of the nephilim and others), but it could feasibly see play in just about any weenie/mid range creature deck given the power boost it would give you. Great cards huh? Well, here's a little more info about some more... - Yes, we have a one mana Merfolk for blue, that can change a land into any basic land type until end of turn. - Another Rare Merfolk (and One of my favorite cards for Lorwyn too) possesses an ability similar to Tradewind rider, at an incredibly reasonable price... which I promise you'll all see as soon as I'm given the o.k on it. - An uncommon shapeshifter equipment that grants the changeling ability and +1/+1 for a real cheap cost. Enjoy these my friends, and please discuss. A cautionary note: I've noticed a large number of people itching to get the first post in on a thread....So, if you post something with little content in order to get the first post, don't be surprised if it gts delelted before you can edit it, simply put, if your posts lack real content, it will be deleted, and if you continue to drop posts liek this, you will be warned or worse infracted. This aint a race people, it's not a competition, it's a wonderful journey, and we're all going to get there in the end... o.k?

Actually, the "Talk like a pirate day" is tomorrow =D
On topic: The equipment is sick. I like it. The DS aura is ok, but, like any other aura, is still fragile...

This looks cool. I doubt it'll see play out of limited though. Fun stuff for a casual deck.

Battle Mastery sure beats the heck out of Fireshrieker. I like.
Deathrender... doesn't really fit the Lorywn "eternal sunshine" theme...What does the art look like? EDIT: I'm glad to see equipment is back. Tradewind Rider

Deathrender looks pretty good, but the cost seems a little high, but it will definitely see play in some form or another-maybe with gargadon? Sac to suspended gargadon, put another gargadon into play from your hand, along with some other big guys. The merfolk tradewinder rider sounds good with everything else we have seen from merfolk so far, so I will be interested to see how that turns out.

I like the equipment, seems good for casual and may make it in a constructed deck, the enchantment..ehh good cost for the effect but its still a critter enchantment. |

The deathrender seems like a perfect fit into the new red green deck wins. You have mog fanatics to have some nice synergy, not to mention mogg war marshal. Play him, equip him and dont pay his eco, voila you have another goblin token and an 11/9 Greater Gargadon It makes those extra copies of Greater Gargadon really easy to get into play.

The double strike enchant is fun but I doubt it will see contructed play outside of casual. The equipment is a powerful effect, but keep in mind that it costs 6 mana to get it to go off once and doesn't actually give you and cards. In fact, you use a card just getting it into play. This would probably see the most play in a boggart deck, seeing as they are all about sacrificing and recursion. Then again, boggarts might not even want this in their deck. |

Deathrender looks like between 'meh' and 'hey, pretty good'. the 'meh' because its costs 4, but 'hey pretty good' because free creature spells.
battle mastery I think is uncommon because you dont see that many simple enchantments, but i could see rare because, like you said hydro, double strike is teh shyte. on the tidbits, we seen one blue merfolk landshapers before. thats kinda 'meh' but limited filler, the tradewind rider merfolk could prolly be another 'keeper of the gales' or whatever that bird from legions was (sadly i collected legions.) changeling equipment could be funny 'tribal artifact - equipment changeling'

here in new zealand we are wayyyy ahead of you guys! so talk like a pirate day is today. The evish piper effect is kinda interesting, but i dont think its going to get played. Putting it on like a mogg fanatic or something is cool though cos you can sac it at will.

Deathrender is nice. I could see myself putting one in my Cat-Equip deck, and using Jitte to kill my own creature, if need be. And as a lover of doublestrike, I drool at Battle Mastery. Pity it doesnt have flash; that would make it even better then it is.

i think you guys are underrating deathrender. its better than reanimating creatures because 1) grave hate is more effective than hand hate, and gravehate is big right now so good you dont have to have the critter in your grave 2) its colorless, so you can use an accelerant to slip it down under a counter in any color 3) it pumps the creature too 4) its reusable. i think its a very solid card and once all of lowryn is spoiled, i have to decide between my aggro control merfolk deck, my all aggro kithi/elf/giant deck, or a combo deck using this

An Equipment that's like Sneak Attack, only it stays in play AND gets +2/+2? Sign me up. I'll take that any day of the week. It doesn't seem too broken as you can't swing with it as it's not given haste.
Finally, they're making a Doublestrike Aura. It's been a while since Mirrodin since we saw the equipment to do that. Good, we need it. Also, as it's been mentioned, to people in America, TLaP day is tomorrow. Arrrrrgggggg |
