Enjoy! These are my favorite preview cards so far - bravo, Wizards!
Silvergill Adept ![]() ![]() Creature - Merfolk Wizard As an additional cost to play Silvergill Adept, reveal a Merfolk card in your hand or pay .When Silvergill Adept comes into play, draw a card. 2/1 Thoughtweft Trio ![]() ![]() ![]() Creature - Kithkin Soldier First Strike, Vigilance Champion a Kithkin Thoughtweft Trio can block any number of creatures. 5/5 I am very happy with Silvergill Adept, and the Trio is amazingly strong. I am glad Silvergill Adept is a Wizard, as it may end up being able to fit into VileHorror because of Riptide Laboratory if the probability works out right. I wonder if any deck will be able to play just 4x of these (what Flores said not to do)... it will be interesting to see how often you can pull it off with just these 4 merfolk, but remember that you can cheat it into play with Aether Vial.

Wow, that merfolk is better than I thought it was gonna be. Likewise the Kithkin trio looks pretty solid, but overall kind of boring compared to the other champions.

It's a Merfolk that I like. It can be cheap in the begging of the game, or you can play him out more if you empty your hand later in the game.
And the Champion card is amazing. 5/5 for 4 with first strike AND vigilance. Sign me up for that. It feels like a White card (multiple small creatures forming a large one). I like both of these and they both can see massive play in all kinds of decks, especially Standard. Good job Wizards!

Thanks for posting those. It's impossoible to access the wizards website close to 9pm.
The Merfolk looks interesting... A good little card drawer for a merfolk deck. The Kithkin looks like a great card for WW Remember people; "Champion a creature" means that you need to have a creature out in play FIRST before you can play it. So when you see a 5/5 for 4, Remember that you also need to a play a creature before, that includes a mana cost just to play it. It's more like a 5/5 for 4+X.

Like the adept, he's going to go in my kithkin aggro deck. The adept is absolute trash in a deck that doesn't have a good chance of revealing a merfolk.

I absolutely love the Adept. The Merfolk tribe is starting to look very interesting. This guy obviously should see constructed play if Merfolk are playable.

The Trio is easily my favourite champion. I love that there's no tension between attacking and blocking; he does both!

The Silvergill doesn't have pretty P/T but considering it cantrips it could be worse. Still don't think too highly of it.
Thoughtweft Trio will be like the Elf Champion so that should work out nicely for the Kithkin. Missing Flash though to be truely abusive but I suppose it's still workable right?

A 2/1 for
![]() and show a merfolk? Sounds good. Though still havent seen enough merfolk. Thats kinda expected though for blue. Pure card advantage right there on creatures, pretty nice.Wait a second. A 5/5 for ![]() ![]() First Strike, Vigilance "Champion a Kithkin" Can block any number of creatures? Holy Freaking Crap that is good. I mean damn, how much better for white can you get that doesn't fly?

Go go merfolk wizard. Card draw, 2/1 and: Wizard.
For the Trio: I love the combination of first strike, vigilance and "can block any number of creatures". He drops 4 1/1s and doesn't even blink.
