Basic plan is a modification of the Mono-black discard deck trying to add in the card advantage engine of the Invoke creatures with Grim Harvest and Makeshift Mannequin.
A pretty basic standard fish-like deck with white splash if I go for Oblivion Rings (I don't own any Sygg's) and I like the sweet of 8 counter spells.
I am looking to not embarrass myself, but not to win the whole thing and want to play something fun. I am open to any ideas, changes as long as I get them before Saturday. :^)
umm for the merfolk go to the competitive forums there is some good builds in there the real key cards you are missing (aside from sygg) are psionic blast and ancestral vision these cards give the fish decks much needed CA and reach
I like the first deck, personally, but I would consider replacing the Skeletal Changeling with Shapesharer, especially if you're going for a budget build. Shapesharer can grant you a lot of tricks and I'm not a huge fan of the Skeletal Changeling anyway.
Asking out a girl is like trying to cast a first turn Necropotence. Sometimes the other player will have the Force of Will to say no. You shouldn't let that stop you from trying it.

Hi Dragoon26,
Good idea, I don't have any Shapesharers, but I agree the Skeletal Changelings are less than exciting and have swapped them out for Ameboid Changelings (slightly more useful abilities). As for the slot of 3x The Rack, is it better to try some extra removal or mana accel, or stick with the racks for the extra, difficult to prevent damage? I will likely be sticking with the B/u elemental deck for the tourney. For some the odd card choices (or exclusions), I am mostly working from my personal collection which doesn't have much for Lorwyn rares yet.
Hey Bud Its adam, i sent you a few emails about elementals this week.
Prismatic lens in a BU Deck is like BAD, however!!! Mind Stone is great!, Good draw lategame when u need to topdeck a win, and good mana accel early game! Prismatic dies after turn 5-6, where as your mindstones can always be dropped for draw.
Aswell you should probably think about River of Tears replacing Underground River, Its better int he longrun, produces both Black and Blue and produces blue before your landrop and black after (considering its your only real blue producer) its probly your best bet!
Im still considering going to Worlds i gotta find a place to stay but i got a ride i might bring a camper or something and campout and steal some power or something like that.. its worlds lol! Anyways if i get there i'll lend you all the cards i can which is pretty much that deck i emailed you (i wont be playing im to broke i'd be there to watch and freedraft)
I am making the big journey worlds and am planning to play in the Sunday TW tourney and put together two decks and am trying to decide which to play.
4x Augur of Skulls
4x Skeletal Changeling (elemental)
4x Shriekmaw (elemental)
4x Mournwhelk (elemental)
4x Mulldrifter (elemental)
4x Nameless Inversion (elemental)
4x Stupor
4x Smallpox
3x Makeshift Mannequin
2x Grim Harvest
3x The Rack (consider replacing with mana accel - Prismatic Lens?)
4x Dakmor Salvage
4x Vivid Marsh
3x Underground River
10x Swamp

2x Loxodon Warhammer (or Oblivion Ring)
4x Moonglove Extract

playing Adarkar Wastes instead of Wanderwine Hubs in your Merfolk deck is asking for trouble.
