Today at my FLGS I saw a poster advertising the prerelease,a nd 5 cards were visible, but they were aprtially covering each other, or were covered by Morningtide's logo. However, the front card was mostly visible
2W
Creature-Soldier Kithikin
Whenever -- attacks, you may put a creature card from your hand attacking.
Rare
The P/R was not visible, and the text was partially covered, so it's possible that there'sa restriction to the creatures you can play this was. I'm guessing only soldiers.
The first line of flavor text was visible, so it didn't have any other abilities.
That could be cool! However at 3 mana it doesn't look great. But cool!
Yeah I would definately like to put akroma into play with this. It's REALLY nice that it puts it into play attacking, unlike Goblin Lackey. Bummer that it's in the worst color tho

Well, seems to me this could quite easily say something like "Whenever -- attacks, you may put a kithkin and/or soldier creature card from your hand tapped and attacking.
(Because having it come into play attacking and not saying tapped is just silly when compared to previous Kithkin cards and Magic stating the obvious for ease of play.)
But it's most likely going to be class-related. The elemental land is meant for making Elementals easier to abuse in Limited. Really, since the LOR precon was so many colors, that land should have been there... but no matter. It would make a little more sense as soldier, given what we know about MOR, and be fun to throw out a Changeling Colossus out of nowhere. "Surprise T4 swing for 9? Yeah. I'm that awesome."

Well yes, since it's on an ad poster that shows off the soldier theme, but the elemental land proves that there will still be race cards in Morningtide. I really doubt they would add a rare land that doesn't fit with the rest of the set's themes for limited, especially in a small set. You will only draft one Morningtide pack.
I'm guessing it's probably a 1/1 and it's limited to kithkin or soldier creature in play. It seems really lackluster at 3 mana though, at least for standard, it might be better in block, but I don't see it making a big splash in standard, it's not going to do much until 4th turn. At that point in the game, a lot has been decided.
if this is the card i think i heard a guy talking about yesterday, then it should be a 2/2 first strike, not 100% sure though but it had a drawback (not big though)
I have a strong feeling this guy puts Soldiers into play attacking, it really makes sense what with Morningtide having a heavy class-matters theme, and it being the forefront card of a poster declaring as much. If it's 2/2 first strike for 2W, and doesn't cause you to sac the creature at EoT or something, he's not half bad.

Seems like it could have lots of potential, but not knowing the entire card there is no way to tell. My guess is it will have a drawback which makes it not very playable.
If this guy does read that you can place a soldier into play attacking, the only good solider (actual soldier, not counting changelings) that you'd want to sneak into play in standard is ironically enough, Thoughtweft Trio. There aren't soldiers 4 mana or over (which would really be the reason to make such a card good, putting large creatures into play for free) that would be worth it, or that you'd even want to be attacking. Most of the larger soldiers either do things great for you but are fragile (Dorien), or are fat-bottomed and defensive (Keldjoran Body Guard).
Ah well, more soldiers in Morningtide and all the changelings make this very interesting for Lorwyn, but doesnt seem great for standard. If it's the way we've been told, that is.

It's little bit vague actually, why not a class or a race restriction, then I would believe that no sacrifice at end of turn would be nessicary. Now it does. Akroma hurts you know in the fourth turn.

hey i have managed to evolve my axolotls by feeding them thyroid glands the thyroxine contained in these gland is enough to change these water dwelling creatures into land based creatures

Tay, that's not evolution. It's metamorphosis. Evolution means descent with heritable modification – individuals cannot evolve, unless they're Pokemon.

Goblin Lackey is ashamed. Granted, he was cheaper than most everything he would dump out, getting free cheap creatures to improve board position is awesome.
