Haves/Wants [MOR] 7 new cards from Japanese magazine

These have been listed HERE in the blogs section of the forums by the user Nise_Tsuruta_Mentor. The translation from the originals in the blog seems a bit rough and originate from a japanese game magazine of some variety, but you can discuss that.

Meadow Mercy
Creature - Elemental (U)
When ~ leaves play,put a +1/+1 counter on each creatures target player controls.

Those are some really cool cards!

I think that Changeling Moonglove should be Moonglove Changeling if someone is going to add these to the spoiler.

The most interesting ability IMO, is Reinforce, It seems much like a Forcast/Cycling mix. The only other question I have is what is the P/T of the Weirding Shaman?

they look okay, and do seem to have a legitimate possibility of being real. the wording is pretty good. and some of these would be decent in limited, especially changeling moonglove and veteran's arms.

Hmm, we got that exact same Engrish from some guy reporting a load of (I think) LOR previews earlier in the year (about the time they previewed lash out), and they all turned out to be correct. Plus all these cards look right.

These are some cool cards, and seem plausible. Kinship and Reinforce look like cool keywords. I especially like the Meadow Mercy. It is a cool new way to think about evoke. Do I want the cool effect now or later?

I really begin to hate all those stupid keywords with no or not many meaning.
I say:
''Look at this Merfolk Wizard he's got BLABLA 3 - you may look at the top three card, and bla them into your hand.''

''Wow'', he said ''but I've got an Elf Druid with BLABLA 10 - Gain 10 lifes each upkeep.''

''Right.''

Just skip the blabla and just put it onto the card. Like the free spells in Urza's, personally it's better that way. Palinchron and friends, you know. Better than Untap X.

About the cards so far, I like the equipment, it's kinda cool. The rest isn't really that intresting for me. Happy new year everybody!

Interesting cards! I like Reinforce, as it gives Green its own very interesting mechanic. They may also move this mechanic into white.

I love the Goblin guy (is he a 2/1? I sure hope so...), and Veteran's Arms fits perfectly. Thanks for the info PBG!

If this batch is true, Reinforce looks lame. Most of them looks like they could see limited play, if only because of their bodies in addition to the potential effect, but outside of Moonglove Changeling, even that doesn't seem probable. This batch looks like complete jank, truth be told. Can anyone confirm these?

Yes I agree, only use keywords for abilities that are used a lot like flying or trample. everybody knows what they do, the word itself is fine. But why with keywords that will be printed on 10 cards? it just make's it more complicated.
I agree that this cards aren't really special. only the white one, if on other cards, you can do something more then just gain life, can be interesting.

yeah, these do seem a little weak. yet i like them.
i hope they make a good Merfolk kinship guy. probably "if it's a Merfolk, target Merfolk gets Islandwalk" or something like that. but my wish would be "if it's a Merfolk, draw a card"!
i'm thinking reinforce is kinda dumb but then again i love the Hunting Trio!
lotta stuff dealing with +1/+1 counters. that Hunter's getting better... i'll bet that Shadowmoor has mechanics that deal with +1/+1 counters too.

Hm... interesting. Reinforce will be decent, assuming it can be used at instant speed. It means you've got a choice between Battlegrowth and Giant Growth as your combat trick. And the second one is either a boost to your early elvish offense or a powerful combat trick.

Kinship is... not quite what we thought. Oh well, it still looks like it has potential. As for everyone going "OMG no, keywords that are unnecessary," imagine this: (assuming every kinship card has that "reveal the top card" clause) they could print a card that says "Whenever you would reveak the top card of your library with a Kinship ability, you may instead look at the top three cards of your library and reveal one of them.

The Weirding Shaman is basically Goblin Warrens, which was always a funny card, but on a body. That makes him decent in my book, even if he's just a 1/1. Looks like Mogg War Marshall has a companion at the two slot.

"Meadow Mercy" has the obvious "twist" on evoke everyone predicted. It's also a decent-sized creature with a solid ability, so I give it thumbs up.

Veteran Arms we had already basically predicted, but nice to see we were right.

If you are going to put reminder text on every card with that keyword, then don't keyword it. They were excessive with Rav Block, sure, but at least that was each guild getting a keyword. Most of the new keywords are useless and Reinforce is no exception. How is it any different than Channel from Kamigawa Block?

Wow, reinforce is . . . underwhelming at first. I guess it is an uncounterable "add +x/+x counters" for it's cost (I wonder if they will all follow the pattern Reinforce x - xg?)
